The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change came out with a new draft report today. This is not a government body, but is sponsored by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
The "Summary for Policymakers" focuses on presenting statistics on historical changes in gas levels in the atmosphere, snow cover, temperatures, and sea level. At the end, it presents scenarios for change in precipitation patterns, surface warming, and temperatures. Notably, the report for the first time directly links the rise in global warming to human activity. Worth a read.
